ABOUT HINTERLAND HOUSE

Welcome to Hinterland House, a grand Manor House set in one of Byron Bay’s most sought after regions, Bangalow. Just a 10-minute drive west of Byron’s town centre, experience old world charm and opulent romance, inspiring a Great Gatsby style wedding. This property is set on 20 hectares of lush gardens and rolling hills, with commanding views over a sprawling macadamia farm. Invite your guests to arrive upon a winding driveway framed by impressive palms, setting the scene for a truly spectacular celebration.

The sophisticated stone exterior and architecture as a whole attracts a majestic feel, complete with concrete masonry walls, massive hipped roof and a wraparound verandah along with French chandeliers, marbled bathrooms and the original leadlight and stained glass window detail throughout. Appoint your wedding day with the utmost charm and effortless elegance of Hinterland House.

This historical homestead sleeps up to 16 guests, who will enjoy a sparkling sun-drenched 13-metre saltwater swimming pool, fire pit and the property’s beautiful manicured gardens.

    Transport:

  • There are six car spaces for guests who are staying. Buses need to be arranged for all other guests.
  • Please note that buses must be smaller sized coaches or shuttle buses only.

  • Style & Hire:

  • Hinterland House has minimal furniture included. Furniture and décor to be hired through The Wedding Shed.

    There are beautiful options for your ceremony, cocktails and reception.

    WEDDING PLANNING OPTIONS
    We know how overwhelming it is to plan a wedding. There are so many elements that need to be decided on such as hire items, lighting, menus, floor plans, seating charts, on the day supplier schedule, supplier choices, transport, and styling just to name a few! That’s where we come in; to help ease the pressure, give you advice and look after all the logistics so you can enjoy your wedding journey in its entirety.

    The Signature Planning package is required for all weddings booked through Byron Bay Weddings with the option for additional assistance if required. Once planned, one of our incredible wedding day coordinators will be there to run your day exactly as planned so it's executed flawlessly and to ease any stress on the day.


    CATERING & STAFFING
    One of the most important elements of your wedding day will be the opportunity to enjoy exceptional food with your nearest and dearest in a beautiful setting.

    We work with two of the region’s award-winning caterers – Fig Tree Restaurant and Feast Events. They have catered over 1000 weddings in their time and their food and service is incredible!

    ​Each wedding couple is invited to the Fig Tree Restaurant for a complimentary tasting dinner before their wedding day. This allows them to sample the food and service they will provide at Hinterland House before the big day. 


    STYLING YOUR DREAM WEDDING
    We exclusively use The Wedding Shed for any additional items you may wish to hire to style your wedding. They offer a huge range of the latest trending furniture and décor making it easy to source quality items to bring your ceremony, dining or cocktail hour to life.

    We suggest browsing their website and send a wish list through to your planner, or choose from one of the looks they have already created that work really well at this venue.

    Our planning package is designed for couples who would still like control over their wedding planning but would love assistance to look after all the finer details and logistics that can become overwhelming. Your planner will assist with bringing your wedding day together and will then handover to the Wedding Day Coordinator who will ensure every detail you have planned for the past 12 months is executed flawlessly.

    Wedding Coordinator

    Your coordinator will be there on the day from set up to pack down. They will manage your entire day from greeting and ushering guests; coordinating the ceremony procession line up and music; overseeing the execution of the décor, styling and floral set up; to working with your musicians and MC so the bridal entrance, speeches, cake cutting and the first dance is done at the right time.

    We suggest bringing everything forward an hour or two in the cooler months (April to September) to make the most of the daylight & sunset times.
